Community College allows student to obtain a higher education considerably low comparing private schools. But not all schools are the same. In order to establish the ranking of these community colleges we have compared the results of 670 institutions in four main categories:

1. Costs of the courses and funding opportunities,
2. Classroom experience,
3 Student achievement,
4. Return on investment for students

Since the criteria – 1, 3 and 4 – are very specific to American students and are not representative for an international student, we decided to study the community colleges based on classroom experience. This combines the study and comparison of the following points for each institution:

• Active and collaborative learning: this measures the level of involvement of students in their personal work and participation in activities / projects
• Learning effort: this includes the measurement of individual work to be done in order to follow the courses, their progress and their progress.
• Academic Challenge: assesses the complexity of courses and the amount of work required
• Student / Teacher Interaction: measures the strength of the exchanges between students and teachers and the relationships between them.
• Financial aid: measures the availability and effectiveness of the institution’s success support services
• Student / Teacher Ratio: gives an average of the number of students per class.
