Clinique's Iconic Chubby Sticks Are Back With 16 New Shades

Multipurpose makeup sticks might be ubiquitous now, but back in the ’90s, they were pretty revolutionary. Launched in 1997, Clinique’s iconic Chubby Sticks were among the original stick makeup products—and now, the brand is relaunching its Chubby Stick Collection with a handful of exciting new shades.

Their adorable, crayon-like design made them one of my favorite early makeup memories as a teen—and while some brave makeup enthusiasts have been tracking down old versions online, I’m more than happy to welcome them back into my beauty routine thanks to the relaunch.

Clinique’s reimagined lineup features four core products in iconic shades, along with 16 new hues across cheek, lip, contour and highlight. Perhaps the most popular of the bunch, the Chubby Stick Cheek Color Balm ($32) is a creamy, blendable blush now available in eight shades—five of which are brand new. (I’ve got my eye on the new shade Grandest Guava.)

The Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Color Balm ($26) feels nourishing and comfortable while delivering a gorgeous wash of color, with 14 shade options total, half of which are new. I love the new shade, Plushest Pink, but I’m equally excited about the return of the iconic Whole Lotta Honey.

Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour ($32) helps create the illusion of depth while subtly elevating your overall look. With two new shades and one classic returning, there are options for every aesthetic. Meanwhile, the Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight ($32) comes in three shades—two of them new—and makes it easy to create a luminous, light-reflecting finish on cheekbones, the bridge of the nose or anywhere else you want to glow.

You can shop Clinique’s newly revived Chubby Stick products on Clinique.com and at Ulta, both in-store and online.
