Kaley Cuoco’s Daughter Matilda Shared a Special Moment With Late Dog

Kaley Cuoco’s daughter Matilda “Tildy,” 2, never got to meet her late dog Norman — whom she named her company Oh Norman! after — but that doesn’t stop the toddler from loving the pup all the same. The Big Bang Theory star just shared a special moment her daughter had with “Norman” over the weekend, and you’ll need tissues before you read this beautiful story!

“She wanted to walk Norman 😭😭😭😭😭😭,” Cuoco wrote on her Instagram story on Sunday. She shared a picture of Tildy crouching down to hug what looks like Norman — but is actually a plush dog designed to look like Norman, which Cuoco got after her dog of 14 years passed away in 2021. Tildy is smiling with her blonde hair up in a half ponytail and her big blue eyes shining with love, making our hearts melt.

In another photo, Cuoco wrote what Tildy wanted to do next: “And then ride him,” she said. “I can’t.” In this snap, Tildy smiles, showing off all her teeth and a cute little dimple on her cheek as she sits on the plush dog. She’s dressed in a hot pink smiley face dress and is just the picture of joy playing with one of her mom’s beloved items. Kids just have a way of filling up your soul, don’t they?

In an interview with PEOPLE in July 2021, the Flight Attendant star shared that her then-husband Karl Cook gifted her with a stuffed replica of Norman that was “maybe the best gift I’ve ever received.”

“It was just so sweet and so thoughtful,” she continued. “When I saw it, I was so happy. It brought me so much joy and so many quick memories of my dog. You know, my dog changed my life. People might think it’s creepy, but I love it. It sits on the couch and it literally feels real to me. I will cherish it forever.”

In Oct. 2023, Cuoco called Norman her “heart dog.” ” Norman changed my life,” she told PEOPLE. “This dog was just my heart for years and years and years. He’d been through divorce with me, changes in my career. I mean, the amount of times I would cry with this dog. He just saved my life.”

She loves dogs (and animals of all kinds) so much, that she wanted her daughter, who she shares with fiancé Tom Pelphrey, to share in that love. She told the outlet, “Oh my God, [Tildy] got thrown to the wolves literally. After she was born, I’m like, ‘If this child doesn’t like dogs, I might have to send her back. There’s no choice. This is your life. This is it.’ They have jumped on her. They have crawled across her. We have let them lick her, kiss her. Our pediatrician was like, ‘It’s okay.’ So they love her so much.”

And it’s clear Tildy loves the dogs back — even the ones who are only with the family in spirit. (We told you this moment would make you cry!)

These celeb families wouldn’t be complete without their furry friends.
