Nike x SKIMS Drops Tomorrow — A Shopping Writer’s Must-Have Picks

When Kim Kardashian launched Skims almost six years ago to the date, I don’t think any of us could imagine that the monochrome matching underwear brand would grow to what it is. From collaborating with the likes of The North Face and Swarovski to becoming the official underwear partner of the NBA, WNBA, and the USA Basketball Team — it seems like there’s no brand Skims can’t work with. And now, they’ve reached the pinnacle of sports collabs by partnering with none other than Nike. 

Back in February of this year, both brands announced that a partnership was in the works, causing the collaboration to beone of Skim’s most highly anticipated collections, yet. For months, fans have speculated what the collection would consist of, if the brands would drop other items aside from clothing (like sneakers), and how they would be able to secure something when it finally releases. Well, I’m happy to share that we can officially answer those questions and then some. 

Below, find out everything you need to know about the new Nike Skims collection and what’s worth adding to the cart, according to a Nike-loving shopping writer. 

What’s the New Nike Skims Collection? 

It marks the start of one of the most highly anticipated collaborations in sports and streetwear. It spans across seven collections and features 58 new silhouettes that combine high-performance activewear that’s supposed to “redefine” the category for all athletes, no matter their level. 

The first drop consists of three core collections — matte, shine, and airy. Each is made with Nike technology in a custom Skims colorway. Within the core collection, you’ll find three seasonal subcollections that help to complement the core. In this drop, we’ll see pieces from the Vintage Seamless collection as well as the  Matte Tricot and Weightless Layers. 

When Does the New Nike Skims Collection Drop? 

Nike Skims is set to drop tomorrow, Friday, September 26, at 7 am PT and 10 am ET. The collection will be available on both brands’ websites at Nike.com/NikeSkims and Skims.com/NikeSkims and in select Nike and Skims stores.
