After years of nurturing a deep connection with wellness, I finally fulfilled a long-standing dream completing my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at the Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center (RYTTC). Amid the serene lap of the Himalayas, Rishikesh is referred to as the Yoga Capital of the World, and now I know why.
This wasn’t just another certification for me; it was a life-altering experience that aligned perfectly with my journey as a mental health blogger, podcaster, and NLP practitioner. In this post, I want to offer a real and honest review of the YTT course in Rishikesh, how it impacted me, and what lies ahead in my wellness path.
Why I Chose Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center
Before enrolling, I researched dozens of yoga schools. What stood out about RYTTC was their emphasis on traditional yogic values and a holistic curriculum. Rishikesh itself has a very different vibe and connects with you on a spiritual level. Daily classes, satvic meals offered by the kitchen staff, home like stay and the fellow yogis made my whole journey smooth, we met as strangers and left as friends from the different corners of the world.

How was my Daily Routine at RYTTC?
Each day began at 4:30 AM and ended by 8 PM a disciplined yet nurturing routine that allowed me to detach from digital noise and truly immerse myself in the yogic lifestyle.
We use to have our first class at 5:30 am – Hatha yoga conducted by Sonu Ji
Followed by meditation and pranayama class at 7:15 am with Kalpinder Ji
Breakfast break at 8:30 am
Iyengar Yoga class at 10:00 am with Anil ji
Yoga Teaching and Anatomy Class with Sonu ji at 11 am
Mantra Chanting/Vinayasa class with Arptia ji and Gopal ji at 12:15
Lunch break at 1 pm
Yoga Philosophy class at 2 pm with Acharya ji
Self-study and assignment space from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Ashtanga Yoga class with Ankit ji at 5:30 pm till 7pm.
Then dinner and a good night’s sleep.


Personal Highlights of My 200-Hour YTT
- Mantra Chanting & philosophy classes created inner stillness and deeper awareness
- Laughter and vulnerability in sharing circles with fellow trainees lead with strong bonds
- Understanding Yoga as a lifestyle, a way of life and not just a practice
- Creating lasting friendships with people who resonated with my purpose
- Even without caffeine (yes, I didn’t drink coffee everyday for weeks!), I felt more energised
- I am more mindful of what I am putting in my body in the form of food.
Completing this course has sparked a new vision for me to bring the essence of traditional yoga to modern lives in the most accessible, inclusive way possible. I will be focusing more on building a mindful community of women through group classes and retreats.
