Salma Hayek knows she’s one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. With her gorgeous curves and piercing eyes, it’s the type of beauty that some might coin a “scene stealer.” But Hayek knows she’s changed over the years too, and, refreshingly, she’s perfectly fine with that.
In a new interview with Marie Claire, the Frida star said she’s always appreciated her body as she aged, especially because of what it meant to her career.
“There was a time when I was the sexy girl, but thank God age came and gave me the ability to expand to other territories,” she told the outlet.

In other words, while she did her fair share of sexy roles when she was starting out, take Desperado or Wild Wild West for instance, Hayek getting older meant she was no longer pigeonholed, no longer seen for just her beauty. Would she have starred in movies like House of Gucci or Eternals if she was still viewed that way? Maybe not!
But, with that said, she knows she’s still got it. “Although I’m still sexy and I embrace it,” she said.

Seeing pictures of Hayek, who’s 58 years old and shares daughter Valentina, 17, with her longtime husband François-Henri Pinault, you might then ask yourself: How does she do it? How does she still look that good?
Well, the answer is more manageable than you might’ve imagined. “Four times a year, I put music on and walk on my own treadmill,” she revealed. “Don’t ask me to run; my boobs are not made for that,” she joked.
Luckily, not being too worried about her appearance has also made her less prone to comparing herself to everyone else, especially other women’s bodies. “I don’t look at somebody else and say, ‘I want that body,’ or ‘I want a new body,’” she said.”But I do confess, I want the old body; the one I had at 25 and criticized and hated nonstop.” She then pressed her hands together in prayer, looked up, and said, “Oh, please, Lord Jesus, give it back to me. I apologize.” We can all relate to that one!
