They say that nobody’s toeses are roses or posies… but what about their fingernails? Maybe it’s not a possibility for the general population, but Selena Gomez isn’t just anybody. Also, now that I’ve connected her with Singing in the Rain in my head, I’d love to see her, Martin Short, and Steve Martin do a rendition of “Good Morning.”
To celebrate the launch of Rare Beauty’s new Soft Pinch Matte Bouncy Blush (it comes out today!) earlier this week, Gomez took it upon herself to go full floral: mind, body, and manicure. Prancing around New York in a red outfit complete with a giant rosette skirt, she also showed off some nail art reminiscent of a spring latte.
Selena Gomez’s Rose Milk Manicure
Floral lattes have entered the mainstream, so it only makes sense that this manicure should be dubbed “rose milk.” Gomez’s go-to nail artist, Tom Bachik, made it happen with Aprés Nails’ Neutrals Short Coffin Gel-X Tips in the rosy, milky, nail-bed mimicking shade Maisie, his beloved Tweezerman nail set, and his Click Colors Gel Polish in Super Clear (that means the color here came from those tips).

If you don’t want to spend too much time messing around with false tips and UV lamps, you could always grab a polish that mimics the shade and DIY this manicure at home. Manucurist’s pink-beige Pale Rose is lovely, as is Zoya’s Nail Lacquer in Mia. Paint on a few coats, make sure to add a glass-like top coat just like Bachik, and you should be good to go.
Selena Gomez’s Rosy Makeup
Naturally, Hung Vanngo was in charge of makeup. He stuck by the party’s guest of honor on her cheeks, utilizing the new blush in the cool-pink shade Happy. For her lips, he used Rare Beauty’s lip liner in the beige shade Talented and lip oil in Happy once again.

As for that perfect rosette skirt? Erin Walsh found it and its matching top from Magda Butrym. A rose is a rose, I suppose. But there’s none quite so lovely as Miss Selena Gomez.
