If you’ve watched Mama Mia or Mean Girls or Chloe or any other of the dozens of films Amanda Seyfried has starred in, you know well that she’s an expert behind the camera, but did you know that she’s also a pro at eczema-friendly makeup? In a recent episode of Vogue’s Beauty Secrets, Seyfried got real about her day-to-day makeup routine, including the concealer she swears by for covering pesky eczema flare-ups.
Amanda Seyfried’s Everyday Makeup Routine, Revealed
Starting by sipping her celery juice, Seyfried began her Vogue tell-all by revealing that her day-to-day makeup routine is fairly minimal, focusing on products that enhance her already radiant complexion and natural beauty. “You may be thinking, ‘what’s that on her face?’” Seyfried jokingly says, before candidly explaining that the patches of redness around her nose and mouth are eczema. “I too suffer from perioral dermatitis,” she says, before going in with her face wash of choice: a heart shaped bar of soap, of which she did not specify the brand.
“When I was 19 I started developing the rash on my face from eczema and I learned a lot about medicated products and products in general from my dermatologist at the time,” she says, prepping her skin for makeup with a medicated cream followed by regimen of products she knows won’t irritate her skin: Lancome’s Tonique Confort Hydrating Facial Toner ($62), Versine Gentle Actives Serum ($80), Tata Harper Boosted Contour Eye Balm ($260) and Lancome Rénergie H.P.N. 300-Peptide Anti-Aging Cream ($145).
