Hello, everyone. It’s that time of year when we ask you to kindly and considerately give your opinion on the year that’s gone – the best things you wore, the best brands you discovered, plus of course all your quality and sizing feedback.
It’s the Permanent Style awards, and this year some things are exactly the same, some things slightly different.
As in previous years, there are four awards categories and we would like your nominations and thoughts in the comments below. Please enter them in the next two weeks if you can, after which we will total up the most popular ones and announce some winners, plus list our discoveries and reflections on them all.
The only real difference is that I would ask everyone to be slightly more specific with their recommendations. I find the nominations really useful too, but it can be hard to wade through them and sift out the practical, pertinent information. Also, please use paragraph breaks (you need to hit return twice to create a clear gap!).
Here are the four categories, with some slightly more detailed requests each time. Thank you, deeply and sincerely, for your entries. I look forward to reading them all:
1. Best brand
- Please name the brand that was your favourite during 2025, and why
- Include at least one specific product, and any sizing feedback
2. Best non-PS brand
- What’s the best brand you tried that we’ve never covered on Permanent Style?
- Please tell us if you think we should cover them
3. Best-dressed person
- Who on Instagram do you take most inspiration from? Try and stick to Instagram so everyone can see and relate and blatantly copy
- Please include the Instagram handle
4. Most versatile piece of clothing
- What’s the one piece of clothing you wore last year that was incredible value, because it went with so many things?
- Please stick to the quality level of products we usually cover
Thanks again,
Simon
