Victory For Wild Horses: House Approves $11M For Humane Fertility Control—Senate Must Act Now!

In a major win for animal welfare, the U.S. House of Representatives has passed critical protections for wild horses, ensuring humane treatment and limiting costly roundups. Under the new measure, sterilization is no longer on the table, and $11 million has been allocated for fertility control vaccines that are safe and humane.

This achievement was not accidental. Thousands of concerned citizens contacted Congress, making their voices heard and helping secure unprecedented support. A record 83 House members and 17 Senators voted in favor of protecting wild horses, demonstrating strong bipartisan recognition of the importance of animal welfare.

With the House’s approval, the focus now turns to the Senate. Advocates are urging Senators to act swiftly to pass this critical bill and make these protections law.
