The ever-so-confident Keke Palmer just gave her two cents on a common fashion trend. In a recent interview with E! News the Rundown’s Erin Lim Rhodes, Palmer revealed what she thinks about freeing the nipple with fashion.
She said, “Free the nips, I’ve done it before. I don’t know, it has to be the right vibe to step back in that bag again.”
However, she did add that not all trends are for her, saying, “There’s a lot of trends I won’t do. I do like the trend thing, but it’s not for everybody. I’m just having fun and it’s always good when people are having fun with you. I’ve been doing this for so many years, and it still brings me joy.”

Now, Palmer has freed the nipple numerous times, like at the 2016 American Music Awards where she rocked a nipple-baring chainmail two-piece. Along with that, per DailyMail, back in Feb 2017, while promoting her book I Don’t Belong To You: Quiet the Noise and Find Your Voice, she wowed in a New York outing wearing a colorful, sheer bodysuit.
And back on Dec 13, 2016, she did it for the first time while promoting Scream Queens in Midtown. She rocked a sheer brown top that freed the nipple, and showed off her nipple piercings.
So it’s clear she’s confidently rocked this trend time and time again. In fact, stylist Zoe Costello has talked about Palmer’s iconic style, describing her to Marie Claire as “open to it all”, saying, “She’s so fun to dress and she just loves exploring different brands.”
