Brad Pitt Buys a $12M Mansion After Recent Home Burglary

Was Brad Pitt unnerved by his recent home burglary? It’s quite possible because the 61-year-old actor is officially on the move.

Pitt has plunked down $12 million for a stunning Spanish-style estate in Los Angeles that was purchased from Dave Keuning, the lead guitarist for The Killers, and his wife, interior designer Emilie Keuning, according to The Wall Street Journal. He’s looking at quite the A-list spread with an 8,385-square-foot residence with six bedrooms and 7.5-bathrooms. The property is located in the coveted Outpost Estates neighborhood of the Hollywood Hills.

With magnificent views of Downtown Los Angeles, a gorgeous pool, and lush gardens, Pitt is going to enjoy his new abode. Still, the F1 star is the owner of a $5.5 million Los Feliz estate that was recently a part of an unsettling break-in. In June, his home was ransacked, according to NBC News, while he was away promoting his latest film.

TMZ reported in early July that there were three suspects involved who took a significant amount of property — but also left behind fingerprints. They gained access to his home via the front door as the media outlet shared photos of the area boarded up with plywood.

Pitt is the most recent A-list celebrity to deal with a home invasion, but he’s joining a club that no one wants to be a member of. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, and even Goldie Hawn have been victims of what is believed to be an out-of-state, and possibly out-of-country, crime ring.

“I went up to the stairs and I walked into my closet, and I just lost it,” Hawn told Kelly Ripa on her SiriusXM podcast, Let’s Talk Off Camera, in June 2024. “They had broken in from the balcony to our bedroom, our closets, and they completely knocked down my door, which is a safe door, so they’re very, very sophisticated and they got a lot of my goodies.”

It’s the worst feeling when someone violates your personal space. Let’s hope Hollywood celebrities are beefing up their home security.
