Neck lines can be genetic, but they are also caused by a combination of other factors like the normal aging process, sun damage and lifestyle habits like staring down at your phone too much, aka Tech Neck. Neck cream can help rejuvenate the skin on your neck, which is drier and thinner than the skin on your face. This makes wrinkles and sagging more visible. However, even if you use an incredible neck cream (StriVectin’s TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream PLUS has been the number-one seller in the U.S. for years), sometimes you may want a little extra reinforcement, like before a big event, family photos, a first date, etc. And for me, that’s a neck mask like StriVectin’s new TL Advanced Sculpting Neck & Jawline Mask ($18). Here’s my honest review.
The Benefits of This Firming Neck Mask
During COVID, I started focusing more on my neck in my skin-care routine, and I’ve loved the addition of neck masks. I’ve tried all different kinds, from red light devices to sheet masks, and right now I’m loving this hydrogel one from StriVectin. It not only targets the horizontal lines on my neck, but also my jawline, which has become noticeably less taut in my late 30s. Designed to address the sagging effects of gravity, the brand says the “hydrogel material provides physical tension and a cooling feel to target puffiness, tighten neck skin, smooth Tech Neck wrinkles, and define the chin contour.”

It achieves this using a concentrated mix of ingredients, including StriVectin’s proprietary NIA-114, a more potent form of niacinamide and patented Alpha-3 Peptide, which stimulates the body’s ability to boost its own collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid for smoothing and plumping. There’s also caffeine in the mix, which lends a depuffing, firming effect. In instrumental clinical testing, the mask improved skin elasticity in just 20 minutes. In a consumer perception study, participants reported seeing visible results—tightening, firming, smoothing, depuffing—on their neck and jawline after just one use, with 88 percent saying their skin immediately felt firmer. After two weeks of use, they reported their facial contours appeared sharper.

How to Use It
Peel the protective film off of the top half of the mask (smaller half) and adhere it to your chin and jawline, placing the loops around your ears. Then repeat with the larger half on your neck. I have a wide face, so the loops feel pretty tight around my ears, but I imagine this will be slightly different for everyone depending on face shape. Wear the mask for 20 minutes and then throw it away (this is a single-use mask that cannot be reused). The hydrogel has a cooling effect, and though the mask itself is very sticky so it can adhere to your skin, it doesn’t transfer and leave your skin sticky at all. Use the mask as the last step in your skin-care routine before makeup, and get snatched fast.
