Fancy an alternative to chrome? Juicy, sheer finishes are where it’s at. Jelly, or glass nails are making a comeback. “Inspired by K-beauty, they use sheer, translucent colour and an ultra-glossy finish to create nails that almost look like coloured glass. They’re fresh, juicy and perfect for summer,” recommends celebrity manicurist, Michelle Humphrey, who counts Dua Lipa and Olivia Dean as clients. Mateja agrees. “Jelly nails are like lipgloss or rosewater nails from a couple years ago but with more saturated colours now,” she says.
Even better, this is a pretty easy one to tap into yourself at home. My favourites are fruity shades are Manucurist Pomme D’amour or Pink Sorbet,” says Mateja. Meanwhile Michelle love the Essie Glass range.
Mediterranean mani
Unsurprisingly, Euro Girl Summer has reached our nail trends, and according to Pinterest, searches for “Mediterranean nails” are up by 1,062%, making them one of the top July nail ideas to have on your radar. How this actually translates, is plenty of mediterranean blue accents, pretty tile prints and lemon details to capture being OOO in Mykonos or Capri.
