Just as speculation about drama between certain stars of The White Lotus season three was dying down, Walton Goggins is speaking up.
In a Culture Magazine interview on April 22, the Fallout star alluded to clashing with a co-star on set in Thailand while filming the third season of the show. “Someone I worked with on The White Lotus didn’t fully understand my process,” Goggins recalled. “My character—Rick Hatchett—he’s isolated. So during filming, I was isolated. I liked mirroring that, but it was emotionally difficult.”
“One day, this actor I was working with—nice guy, good actor—came up to me and said, ‘You’re brilliant in Fallout. Please tell me you had a good time making that,’” he said. “I just stared at him. Because he didn’t get it.”
Goggins added that actors who “don’t understand that there’s a world beyond the script” are “missing” part of their work. Goggins recalled telling his co-star, “‘No. I play a guy who’s lived for 200 years and seen the worst of humanity. Every day was fucking horrible.’ He just stared back at me like, ‘Okay, wow.’”

Though Goggins didn’t name the co-star involved, he emphasized that he is a “great actor.”
Jason Isaacs has repeatedly claimed there were some falling outs on the set of The White Lotus. “Some people got very close, there were friendships that were made and friendships that were lost,” he told Vulture in March. “I became very close to some people and less close to others.”
Goggins became wrapped up in the speculation after the show’s finale aired when he shared a series of cozy photos with co-star and onscreen girlfriend Aimee Lou Wood, despite the pair no longer following each other on Instagram. Fans noted that her comments are gone from his Instagram, but his are still all on hers, which may be a sign that he blocked her.
Isaacs stirred the pot even further when he hinted that there may have been romantic relationships on the set of The White Lotus. “Like anywhere you go for the summer, there’s friendships, there’s romances, there’s arguments, there’s cliques that form and break and reform and stuff like that,” he claimed on an episode of The Happy Hour on SiriusXM’s TODAY Show Radio.
Goggins, who is married to director Nadia Conners, and Wood have not addressed the rumors that they had a falling out.
