Costco's New Strawberry Cream Pie Is the Perfect Mother's Day Dessert

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but Mother’s Day is practically already here. The time to plan a lengthy and labor-intensive Mother’s Day brunch has passed, but Costco is here to save the day with a brand new, ready-to-eat dessert that shoppers are already calling “dangerously delicious.”

The warehouse giant’s latest bakery drop is a mouthwatering strawberry cream pie with a graham cracker crust, and it is not playing around. In true Costco style, this decadent dessert weighs in at 3 pounds, 14 ounces, which is practically four pounds of pure bliss. This is the kind of pie that says, ” Yes, I brought dessert,” but also, “No one else needed to.”

Visually, it does everything you want a fancy Mother’s Day dessert to do. A glossy strawberry topping, a cloudlike cream filling, and it’s all anchored by that sweet, crumbly graham cracker base. It looks like it belongs at a catered event in East Hampton, not casually sitting in your cart next to paper towels and rotisserie chicken.

But there’s more good news: the price. The showstopping pie comes in at just $18.99, and for something this substantial, the price almost seems suspicious. Almost. Like you should double-check the sign, or at least not make eye contact while placing it in your cart.

You can find the new pie in the Costco bakery section, which means it’s dangerously easy to grab on your way to just “pick up a few things.” But hey, Mother’s Day does have a way of sneaking up on you, so if this store-bought dessert can do some of the heavy lifting for you, we say, why not indulge? Just add some coffee, maybe eggs if you’re feeling ambitious, and you’ve got a crowd-pleasing brunch menu. Low-effort, high reward, maximum appreciation.

So yes, you could run to the store, gather all the ingredients to make something from scratch. Or you could bring the pie that weighs almost as much as a small dog and call it a day.
