Try Selena Gomez's Pretty Lilac Manicure This Spring

Did you know Selena Gomez got her acting start on Barney in 2002? It’s true. And once you go purple, the color will stick with you forever. To the point where someone will be talking about your lavender manicure two decades later and have to make that connection.

Though not as deep as the famous purple dinosaur’s signature color, Gomez’s shade was purple nonetheless—a lavender, to be specific. “Spring Fling vibes,” wrote her go-to manicurist, Tom Bachik, in an Instagram post showing off the style.

Ready to have your own “spring fling” with the shade? We have all the info you need.

Selena Gomez’s Lavender Manicure

Bachik reshared the look on Monday, March 17 in celebration of “mani monday.” While it’s a throwback, he knows we’re always on the hunt for a Selena Gomez manicure to copy—and this one couldn’t be more fitting for the season.

Kept long and filed into a gentle coffin shape, each of Gomez’s nails featured the same pretty lavender shade and a nice, glossy top coat. The look made its mark before jelly nails took over the world, so it’s fully opaque—but the color would be just as pretty in any finish and format.

A little pinker than the pastel purple design Bachik whipped up for the 2024 Grammys After Parties, it’s a color we haven’t seen on the deep red or simple French-loving singer in a while. But who knows… maybe it’s time for a comeback?

How to Get the Look

Way back when he first crafted the manicure in July 2022, Bachik revealed that it was the shade CO10 from Mithmillo’s Cotton Candy collection. Unfortunately, the bottle is hard to come by two and a half years later, but there are plenty of similar shades on the market today.

Londontown’s Lemonade Pop is a great option, as are Essie’s Lilacism and Olive & June’s JM, a “pinky lavender with a pretty peony undertone.”

So many flowers! But hey, ’tis the season.
