Can you believe it’s been seven years since the last Star Wars film hit theaters? Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker closed out the iconic Skywalker Saga and marked the last time fans got that big-screen, high-stakes, action-packed drama Lucasfilm is known for. But this May, we finally get another shot at that magic with The Mandalorian and Grogu — the latest installment in the saga that fans have been waiting for.

The new film follows three hugely successful seasons of Disney+’s The Mandalorian. Instead of continuing as an eight-episode series, The Mandalorian and Grogu will essentially serve as the show’s newest (and possibly final) chapter. This time around, our favorite bounty hunter, Din Djarin, and his adorable apprentice, Grogu, are enlisted by the New Republic to hunt down Imperial remnants. And while we’re more than ready to see Star Wars back on the big screen, it’s the new merch that has us especially excited.

Back in February, Disney Consumer Products previewed a truckload of new goodies as part of its Star Wars: Most Wanted campaign in New York City. The event offered a first look at everything from toys and fashion to home and lifestyle pieces — and now, with the film’s release approaching, those products are finally starting to roll out.

“I’ve been a Star Wars fan my whole life, but we didn’t have much product outside of the four-inch figures—the collectible action figures. Maybe we had some larger builds and sets, but that was it,” Bobby Kim, Global Creative Director for Disney Consumer Products, told SheKnows in an exclusive statement. “The universe [of Star Wars merch] has expanded far beyond just action figures. Now you can reflect and signal your identity as a fan in so many different ways, including through fashion. It’s another great way for people to engage with the story.”
