Megan Thee Stallion’s Gold Foil Manicure Is the Perfect Dramatic Spring Nail Art

We have not seen enough of Megan Thee Stallion this year. Even if you were lucky enough to attend Coachella and see her perform, even if you’ve been sipping Chicas Divertidas, and even (especially!!) if you dyed your hair red to feel closer to her, you’d have to agree.

After two big performances in the Indio Coachella valley, the rapper took to Instagram to share some snaps of her weekend two look. And thank goodness she did—those YouTube streams were not doing her manicure justice.

Long and coffin shaped, each of the 30-year-old’s nails featured the same golden, foiled texture. While I wouldn’t be surprised if her nail artist used actual gold foil to get the look—this is Megan we’re talking about—a close up set of photos shared by makeup artist Diana Shin revealed that they had a snakeskin-like finish.

The artist behind the manicure was the talented Tahvya Krok, aka @nailedbytav. The set was similar to a blue crocodile design she previously shared on Instagram, albeit longer and much, much shinier. Imagine if your favorite crocodile purse was cast in metal: that’s this manicure.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Long Red Waves

As is typically the case with Megan, the nails weren’t the only dramatic aspect of her look. Her copper hair, which she premiered back in January, was styled in crimped waves by hairstylist Kellon Deryck and reached all the way to her knees.

Shin’s blurry makeup look included some golden shadow and a brown-lined lip, both of which the artist utilized to smize at the camera for her all-too-rare photoshoot. Stylist Isiah Ahmad put his client in a black denim Who Decides War outfit that consisted of a halter bralette top, low-rise pants, and (attached, I think?) thong.

Hopefully everyone’s ready for another hot girl summer? Megan, take the rest of the spring off if you really need it—we’ll be ready for you when you’re back for good.
