Ultra Violette’s Newest SPF Will Make Your Skin Shine—In a Good Way

On Tuesday, February 10, beloved and forever buzzy Australian sunscreen brand Ultra Violette is launching Sequin Supreme. Made to be worn as a makeup primer (or alone, if you’d rather!), the broad-spectrum SPF 50 formula comes complete with a smooth and luminous finish that’s glowy, but not glittery—and never ever greasy.

The Inspiration

Described as an SPF-meets-moisturizer-meets-primer, Sequin Supreme is perfect for those with normal to dry skin types who are looking to add a little luminescence to their routine. Its soft-shimmer finish makes it look like you’re always in your best lighting, while its formula wears like a perfect makeup base so said lighting can enhance the rest of your look.

Sequin Supreme is sisters with Ultra Violette’s cult-favorite Supreme Screen sunscreen. Sisters, I said—not twins! Or actually, maybe they are twins… but fraternal? “If Supreme Screen is your staple white tee, Sequin Supreme’s fancy shimmer finish is your going-out slip dress,” the brand explained in a press release. Both are staples with the same stellar DNA, just different physical identities.

The Formula

Made for daily wear, the new SPF features a “super-juicy” blend of barrier supporting and hydrating pentavitin, squalane, and Kakadu plum to “keep the skin feeling comfy, bouncy and bright.” Its studio-lit glow comes courtesy of light-reflecting mica.

You can layer the sunscreen under makeup or apply it to your bare skin and hit the town; the brand says she’s hydrating enough to be your moisturizer and has enough grip so you can skip other primer.
