Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes‘ friendship is top of mind amid the singer’s wedding weekend.
Mahomes is believed to have attended Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding. She and husband Patrick Mahomes, who is Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate, were spotted in New York on July 2, a day before Swift and Kelce’s Madison Square Garden party.
However, this comes after rumored tensions between Swift and Mahomes that bubbled up in the lead-up to the 2026 Super Bowl.
Are Taylor Swift & Brittany Mahomes Still Friends?
Yes, Swift and Mahomes are still close friends as evidenced by the latter attending Swift’s wedding. Per Page Six, the pair stepped out together on February 7 for a double date with Travis and Patrick in New Orleans ahead of the 2026 Super Bowl. A week earlier, they last hung out together on Jan. 26 when the Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills and became AFC champions.

Taylor Swift & Brittany Mahomes Have Been Friends Since 2023
Swift and Mahomes’ friendship first blossomed in the summer of 2023, shortly after Swift’s relationship with Kelce went public.
By October, sources were confirming their best friend status. “Brittany [was] thrilled to be building a genuine friendship with Taylor,” a source told Us Weekly. “They’ve hung out a couple of times and have grown fairly close in a short period of time. Brittany thinks Taylor is so sweet, and down to earth, and they get along really great.”

Swift & Mahomes First Hung Out in October 2023
Swift and Mahomes were first photographed together in the Chiefs game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on October 1, 2023. At the event, they were seen chatting alongside Swift’s best friend Blake Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, Swift’s tour opener Sabrina Carpenter and Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman.
That same night, Swift and Mahomes had dinner with Lively and Sophie Turner in NYC.
In addition to Lively, Reynolds and Turner, it didn’t take long for Mahomes to meet the rest of Swift’s friend group. On Nov. 4, the two of them grabbed dinner in New York City with Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez.

Why Are There Rumors Taylor Swift & Brittany Mahomes Aren’t Friends?
In September 2024, rumors started swirling about a potential rift between Swift and Mahomes. It all started when fans noticed that Mahomes reportedly liked one of Trump’s Instagram posts in late August. Soon after, she was embraced by Trump supporters on social media.
Trump himself also thanked Mahomes. “I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sept. 4. “With Crime and Illegal Immigration totally out of control, INFLATION Ravaging all Americans, and a World that is laughing at the stupidity of our hapless ‘leaders,’ it is nice to see someone who loves our Country, and wants to save it from DOOM. What a great couple – See you both at the Super Bowl!”
As rumors of a feud escalated, Swift and Mahomes squashed it all by attending the U.S. Open on Sept. 8. Together with their partners, they hugged, laughed and even cheered together.
At the time, Swifties were urging Swift to take a stand and endorse a candidate.
On Sept. 10, she did. “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” she wrote in a post on Sept. 10. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”
Then, on November 4, the two attended another game together when the Chiefs faced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. From the looks of it, there was never any bad blood!
